Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Operio Pro app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices, created by Operio Studio (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Information We Collect

The Application collects the following categories of information:

• Account Data: Email address and authentication identifiers (Google, Apple, or email/password) used to create and manage your account.
• Business Data: Inventory items, product costs (COGS), selling prices, profit margins, sales sessions, customer and supplier records, return logs, workspace configurations, and tags you create within the Application. This data is stored locally on your device and, for premium users, synchronized to secure cloud storage.
• Product Images: Photos you attach to inventory items are uploaded to and stored in Firebase Storage under your unique user ID.
• Transaction & Subscription Data: Purchase history and subscription status are processed securely via RevenueCat and Google Play Billing. We do not store full payment card details.
• Push Notification Token: If you grant permission, a push token is collected and stored locally and in Firestore to enable scheduled notifications (morning briefs, expiry alerts). This token does not identify you personally.
• Sparks & Credits Data: Your in-app credits balance, transaction history, and milestone activity are stored locally and synced to your cloud account.
• Device & Usage Data: Device operating system, approximate location derived from IP address (for analytics only), and general usage patterns. We do not collect precise GPS location.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Application's core features.
• To sync your business data securely across devices (premium users).
• To send scheduled local notifications you have configured (morning brief, expiry alerts).
• To process AI-driven business analysis reports via Google Gemini.
• To manage your subscription and in-app purchases via RevenueCat.
• To detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access.

AI Data Processing

The AI Analysis feature processes your business data (inventory figures, costs, profit margins) using Google Gemini to generate strategic reports. This processing is stateless — your data is used solely to produce the requested report and is not used to train the underlying AI models. Personal identifiers such as your email address are never transmitted to the AI service provider.

Cloud Sync & Local Storage

All business data is stored locally on your device using an on-device SQLite database. Premium users benefit from automatic cloud synchronization via Google Firestore. Free users may export and import their data manually via the JSON backup feature in App Settings. You retain full ownership of your data at all times.

Third-Party Services

The Application integrates the following third-party providers, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Play Services
• Google Firebase (Firestore, Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics)
• RevenueCat
• Google Gemini (AI Service Provider)

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as you maintain an active account with the Application. If you delete your account, all associated data — including cloud-synced records, product images in Firebase Storage, and push tokens — is permanently deleted. Local data on your device is removed when you uninstall the Application.

Your Rights (including EU/GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right of Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Rectification: You may correct inaccurate or incomplete data directly within the Application.
• Right to Erasure: You may delete your account and all associated data at any time via Drawer Menu > Account Settings > Delete Account, or by contacting us at operiostudio@gmail.com.
• Right to Data Portability: You may export your business data at any time via App Settings > Export Backup in JSON format.
• Right to Object: You may object to the processing of your data for analytics purposes by contacting us.
• Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent (e.g. push notifications), you may withdraw consent at any time through your device settings.

Data Deletion

• In-App: Navigate to Drawer Menu > Account Settings > Delete Account to permanently delete your account and all data.
• By Email: Send a deletion request to operiostudio@gmail.com.

Children's Privacy

The Application is designed as a professional business management tool and is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.

Security

We implement industry-standard technical and procedural safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase security rules, and authenticated access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to protecting your information.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in the Application or applicable law. We will notify you of significant changes via an in-app notice. Continued use of the Application after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Effective as of 2026-02-04.
